Civic SiR and Civic Si
I was wondering if there is any differences in horsepower between the SiR and the Si. I'm talking about the 1997-2000 Type of Civics. What gen is that?
Well i'm just looking for the differences between them, also if the SiR has the KPH can i change it to MPH???

The SiR was never sold in the U.S. So unless this guy imported one from outside of the country, it's not an Si-R.

Sounds like an SIR from up here in Canada if it's reading in KPH. Sold in Japan and Canada from 99-2000 I believe, and has a B16 as opposed to the D-series' in the Si's and that. As far as I've read the B16 would be a much better engine and tranny to start with than the D-series. More aggresive gear ratios.

To answer your question. Yes there is a difference in horsepower between the SiR and Si (Canadian specs). I'm not sure how much diff, but I do know that the Canadian Si has the USDM EX Y8 motor and the Canadian SiR has the USDM B16 motor.
And yes you can change KPH to MPH by simply changing to a USDM cluster.
CDM Si = USDM EX
CDM SiR = USDM Si
(Waits for NOFX to chime in....)
