i plan on doing a b18c swap into my 95dx. what i want to know is since the car originally came with an auto, will the hasport top passenger side trans mount fit? the car is already swapped to a manual, and i DO NOT have the top mount in use because i dont have the cash for the custom mount that was required as noted in the FAQ.

any help would be appreciated. thanks

 

If you dont have the top mount how are you driving around being manual? Just have it off the torque and rear mount?

 

yep. im not to worried about it. the manual isnt that heavy, and the trans and engine arent drooping any. besides, that rear mount has 3 bolt points as well as the front mount. that combined with the size of the bolts gives a bit of structural support. its not like im trying to dra race it or anything. its my dd, and im not shifting hard and dumping the clutch. im driving it like grama.

 

That's still a terrible idea.


You'll need to get the Hasport auto to manual B-series transmission mount to make it work properly.

 

thanks for pointing me in the right direction with the mounts for the swap. do you know if hasport will sell that auto2man mount with their mount kit, or is it a seperate only purchase? im going to call them today when they open, but i was going for early intel. i would rather not buy the mounts individual. its like 480 that way instead of just 400 for the replacement mount kit. and will this auto2man mount be the same one i need for a b series trans, or will i have to buy a new mount?

 

Call them up and tell them what mounts you need...they'll hook you up with a "custom" mount kit I'm sure.
