Default what shock/coilover setup would u recomend?second thinking koni/gc

well i thought i was hearing a lot of good things about koni yellows and gc..i was going to buy the setup from weaksauce with two top hats because im going to dump my eg. so that would of been 975 shipped.
people are telling me the stiffest setting isnt even stiff enough if im dumped?
i dont know how stiffi need to go or how stiff it is
its just now im hearing some negative things about koni /gc and people said i could get a full coilover setup for as much as im paying for the koni/gc setup

what would u recomend for decent ride quality and being dumped i want to be about this low

you are reading information that is not correct.

You aren't going to get a decent ride at that height what so ever.

The spring holds the car up, the shock controls the springs.

You cannot get a decent ride quality when lowered that much. That's all there is to it. If you want to ride that low you'll just have to live with the crappy ride.

For some strut applications, the Konis are just inserts. This is not the case with Honda applications.

I don't think there is a full coilover on the market that has a damper that is as high quality as the Koni damper that's in the same price range as the Koni/GC setup. That's why so many people swear by Koni/GC. The quality is hard to beat.

there is no cutting involved in in putting on koni's. you would only half to use the brake line bracket from your stock shocks and that's it(unless you do the shock fork mod). since your getting the top hats too you would basically take your old suspension off and put your new suspension in.

from what i have read on here... with ext. top hats will make your ride smoother with that drop you are looking for. You can also do the fork lowering trick(lowering the shock more into the fork) in the front to get more travel.

also the ssp3's aren't really that different from the regular koni's performance wise. i would get the regualar koni yellows then the ssp3's

the cheapest prices i have seen it are these.

for the koni shocks i reccmend you buy it here.

for the gc's with custom rates and top hats i reccomend this guy

truehonda.com reccomend these rates

Our Ground Control Rate Suggestion:

Street Use Only: 290/350Lbs
Street/auto-x: 350/380Lbs
Street/Road Course: 380/450Lbs I would go for these ones for the drop you looking 4. to have it less rough you should get 450front/380rear.

koni g/c is a really good setup. it handles great and just love the ease of adjustability.
