getting db tested for modified exhaust ticket
so a couple of weeks ago i got a fix it ticket for my exhaust. I am running a stock b15b7, stock headers with a twin loop exhaust and no resonator. i dont think my car is loud at all, and im pretty positive that will pass the under 95db law out here in cali, but i thought i would check here if anyone else has every gotten tested with a twin loop exhaust.
Twin loop?
You're fine. If not, you're just in for a resonator, as I'm not completely sure why you don't have one anyway if it's a stock D15B7.
Go in with no worries though, you most likely will not fail. My old D15B7 with the Apex'i N1 passed a long time ago.

just in case anyone wanted an update, my exhaust passed at 87.4 db. max level is 95db, so i passed with flying colors.

I just got a modified/defective exhaust ticket here in WA too for just having a dumb can. I thought that they could only give you a ticket for being too loud? Oh and my friend witha greddy sp2 exhaust just got the same ticket!
to cops in WA!
Would a receipt for a stock muffler bought from the junkyard and before and after pics do to get them to drop the ticket?

In order to get out of mine I got, I just bought a stock axle-back section, slapped it on there the day of court, told the judge I fixed it and he could have someone check it out to make sure (which he didnt, he took my word on it) and he threw mine out. Dont know if this could work every time, but it might!

Well once you are charged.... it is up to the prosecutor or judge. They do not have to treat it like a fix it ticket.
