my friend bought a 1994 honda accord lx for about a month now. the car was from an auction. when she tried to open the moonroof it got stuck on the "tilt" position and it wont close or open no more. dont really know about the fuse because the windows still work. dont really know whats wrong with it. its her daily driver and it has started snowing a bit here. they took it to the dealer and its going to cost about $700 to repair.
any help would be great
what could be done to temporarily seal it for the moment so no snow or water will get into it?
thanks.

that would probably cut down on the repair cost
out of factory no accord came with tilt (94-97)</TD></TR></TABLE>

actually I saw one with a tilt at my HS, but it was a sedan. I guess only sedans had that tilt feature in the 5th gen Accords.
To your problem, do you even hear the motor running? I would check fuses. 1 under and 1 in the driver side kick panel. It's to the left of the left foot rest.

In the meantime check to see if you have the tool that you can use to crank your sunroof back shut. At least you wont be getting debris in your car.
edit: The tool is usually found in your tool kit where your lug wrench is. there will be a little tap just behind the sunroof that you remove and stick the crank tool in. turn clock wise and volia!

do you have to remove the headliner to find it?

You shouldnt have to. its a little round piece of plastic in the headliner. You pry that piece out and youll see the place where you install that little crank tool... I'll try to take a picture in my buddys if you cant find it

thanks for all the help
we were able to manually close it...however we had to put a little hole in the headliner since the previous owner replaced the whole headliner so the little plastic thing wasnt there. so we managed to get it down.
thanks again for all your help
