Install A/C in a non A/C crx?
I just bought a 91 CRX Si, without A/C, which is something that would be REALLY nice to have, especially driving through TX/NM/AZ in the summertime..
What would I need to install it in my car? Obviously the compressor, condensor, and evaporator, but is that it? Or does the entire HVAC system need to be changed out?
Here is a pic of everything I think i need, just wondering if i would need anything else:

You will also need:
- a/c pulley, pulley bracket, and belt to drive the compressor
- a/c wiring harness as said by 661rex89si above
- evaporator for underdash
- a/c switch for the HVAC controls
You should watch out for R12 vs. R134 and weigh your options. For under the dash, you will have to swap out the air pass-through "box" with the evaporator unit from the A/C. They swap right out, and you can get to it by taking out your glove box.
And when you get all those nice parts, send me that air pass-through box and the A/C button block-off!

I still have my ac button block off from when I did my ac. Also, I'd go with r-12. It gets cold a lot quicker. If you can't find r-12 send me a message and I'll tell you how.

I've read about something other than R134.. Maybe it was R12. You actually used less of it, and it works a lot better than R12. It's in a writeup on a/c recharging i found somewhere...
Will the A/C harness plug in to the factory under dash harness even though it never had a/c ?
Looks like it's time to start buyin someone's a/c setup

I plan on picking up a rebuilt compressor or whatever from autozone, and a new condensor. Im looking for lines/evaportator/wiring harness.. Thats everything, right?
