So today i bought a clay bar kit from mothers for my car. the instructions on it says that after you are done clay bar a spot you use the wax.
What im wondering is that my friend told me that i cant use that wax over again. He told me that after i clay bar my whole car i wash it again and use a different wax to wax it.

the wax the clay bar kit comes with is a 'cleaner wax', which is like a polish. the cleaner wax is supposed to take off a very very fine layer of paint, such as oxidation, etc. ideally, you would: wash car, claybar car, wash car again, apply the cleaner wax, then follow up with a sealer wax.
the process is long, but its worth it in the end.
oh, and the wax the kit comes with is crap in my opinion. i would use their claybar, but use a different/better wax. but thats just me...
(please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong)

x3 Cleaner wax definitely has its purpose and that purpose isn't to protect a car's paint for any length of time. Be sure to get a sealer wax of some sort (if you're looking for off the shelf Meguiars NXT is fairly durable) or if you really want shine look into a good carnuba. Its a lot of work but you can wash, clay, wash, then dry (most will tell you to dry after the first wash but it isn't necessary if you are working in the shade as you should be and continually wetting the car again as you should be).
