timing belt change
Hi, i have a 94 accord ex with 240k miles and i need to change the water pump....but i read that i need to take off the timing belt as well. I wanted to know if i should buy the timing belt kitthat includes the timing and balancing belt and a tensioner... do i have to even replace the tensioner?...also for the water pumps at the dealership i think it's lik 80 bucks but i looked on line for some parts and they have companies like airtex, GMD, NPW, ASCO, Beck. But i don't know how reliable they are..does someone know of any reliable water pumps out there...or should i just get the one at the dealers?
I always say OEM from honda dealer parts
get the timing kit and the water pump
when it comes to timing belts only the best
you don't want lower quality belts to fail and mess your engine up
same for the water pump

if 240k miles i would replace have replaced each tensioner. a spring should accompany each tensioner. quite a lot of labor is involved in total job but parts are not expensive.
majestichonda sold me honda marked waterpump for $48 recently.
