How can you tell if a tranny is totally crap? I just swapped in an ex tranny some guy sold me awhile ago for $220 cash. I am pretty sure now that the input shaft bearing is shot, from the help of all you guys. I went to bleed the clutch again tonight, I lost all stiffness in the pedal. then started to drive it(was a stupid idea), and the clutch wasn't engaging or something. Because when I'd start to let off the clutch it would start to die. If anyone lives near me in Spokane, I'd pay you to help me out. I need to get my car fixed asap.

 

Sounds like you have a hydraulic issue. What makes you think that it's the input shaft bearing?

 

the noise goes away when I depress the clutch. It happens while in neutral letting off the clutch and then while driving

 

I am a cetified and trained Honda mechanic and own a eg hatch... Let me know if you still need help, I even have a new tranny if you need one but i doubt it.
