a6 head on b7 block, timing issue.
so i have a civic and the engine blew so i replaced it with a b7 block and an a6 head.
im now having issues with a lot of misfiring. ( car sounds like a muffled machine gun and looses a lot of power in the upper rpms )
the plugs and wires have jsut been replaced. but what worries me is the timing belt.
when i did the swap i was under the influence that that the a6 head and the b7 head were identical, so i used the timing belt off the b7 and i put it on and tensioned it, but it is loose and flaps around when the car is on.
my question is, is the a6 head and the b7 head the same? does this misfiring sound like a timing issue?
