i got same situation on my 91 hatch civic DX. but when i check the reservoir for after a day, week and months theres no change in amount of antifreeze and no mixture of oil either. so what else do you guys think that produces that white smoke? as for additional info, i added some oil in between oil change. the total amount of oil i added is less than a quart. but the smoke is not black as mention by other forum if your burning oil.

ok....if its white smoke its water, blue smoke is oil. most likely its head gasket. its most likely going to run around 400 to 500 depending on the shop. also, if its oil when does the smoke come out? idle, after you let off the gas, or hard excel?

Take it to a shop for a leak down test!! That should spread some light on the exact problem

Check the throttle body gasket before you do a head gasket, sometimes the coolant thats ran up there can leak into the TB.
It only take a **** drop of water to make clouds of white smoke. But its most likely the head Gasket.

sorry to bugg in....my car smokes(white) when the fan goes on and the car charges for the fan..also the rpm goes a bit high... its usually at about 600-800rpm when stoped.....then the fan goes on and it goes to like 1000-1500... im runnign a gsr engine!!
im not saying anyone is wrong and i dont know if civics and 2007 sti's have anything in common but my brothers sti blows white smoke and he ran a compression check on the pistons and pistons 2 and 4 are losing compression, see it feels any different in the way it drives, you should notice whether its slower or not. if its not any slower i doubt its the pistons than. good luck with that man, but in all honesty just take it to a shop.
