Default GSR question

I just bought a Del Sol with a GSR (B18) swap in it, with a B16 transmission.

Anyways, the throttle body seems to stick a little bit - the car hasn't been driven in a while, but the idle, when coming to a stop, sometimes fluctuates between 1.5 and 2.5, until I quickly step on the gas and it drops to the normal idle position.

Now, thats not a huge concern for me, because if it is the throttle body, chances are after a few weeks it should stop doing that, I hope *doesn't worry too much*

Now, my real concern is when I'm in 5th gear, the car seems to stutter quite a bit from 3000 rpms to 4500 rpms, as well as below 3000. It does not do this with any other gear, so I'm a little concerned about why its happening in 5th gear.

I'm going to do a tune up to it next weekend, so maybe that will fix it, but I doubt it. Any thoughts on why it might be doing that?

1.) clean your throttle body with some parts cleaner to take filth out of the equation. Ask the previous owner if the IACV or FITV ever gave him trouble.

2.) bad ignition coils tend to cause stuttering in acceleration, as do clogged fuel filters. Check both.

Would the bad ignition coils just cause that to happen in 1 gear as opposed to not having it happen in the previous 4 gears?

I will take a look at the throttle body and clean it. I can't ask the last owner because the person I got it from traded his integra for the del sol to some kid in another state, so getting a hold of that person is next to impossible for me

When I get a tune up, I'll ask the garage to see what else they can find wrong with it if this doesn't fix it I guess.
