Default Prelude immobilizer removal? (for my h22 swap)

all right i have a 6th gen accord 98-02 accord, i've swapped the h22a4 into it and i have the 99 prelude ecu that i got off of egay, and now ive been told by my buddy at the dealer that i can't do anything without the red key and the icu and ignition immobilizer ring from the lude, I AM NOT A CAR THIEF!, i'm just desperate to get my swap done! i've been told it is possible to remove the immobilizer chip from inside the ecu, it's an p5m ecu and ive been told something about hic1, but i'm not sure. PLEASE PLEASE HELP! or could i put the immobilizer chip out of the accord ecu into the lude ecu, i'm skilled enough to do the soldering! just need some info thanks to anyone who can help! please pm me for privacy since ive witnessed that to be a big deal here on ht and i wouldnt want to offend anyone! thanks again!

the dealer should be able to reprogram the ecu's immobilizer to work with your key. my nephew had to get his ecu's immobilizer reprogrammed when he swapped his tranny from auto to 5sp in his 98 accord.

well sorry but it wont work because the immobilizer system for a prelude is totally different than the one in the accord! at least that's what my friend at the dealer told me! something to do with the red key issue, only found in the preludes system!

there was a guy on honda swap that swapped the immobilizer from the f23 to the h22 ecu. it takes some soldering talent, but it is possible.

k well technically josh... this is my swap... jk lol but ne way to reply to tx_accord... do you know if you swap the whole daughter board in HIC1 location from the accord ecu to HIC1 location of the prelude ecu??? Cause I would like not to buy a new ecu n hope that I was not totally ripped off by egay... but if I am I learned my lesson...

[edit] or is it one of the little minor chips on the daughterboard of HIC1??? you can pm me if you have ne info or CRVtech...

yeah this post right below didn't really work out if you read what i found out, so bump for more info please

(well i got the info from a different website alltogether, but i can desolder my imm in the h22 ecu and install the one out of my accord's ecu into it and it will work fine! no need to remove the imm totally but just swap the imm from the car you're swapping the engine into and the ecu that you're using will work great! foot note) ( this is for 97' to 01' obd2 cars)

Interesting, I"m surprised to hear that CR-V

However as a word to the wise, be VERY gentle with the ECU's

My friend toasted one of his trying to desolder and resolder a "fugen" chip from ebay haha.

bump

my buddy has this same problem but with a jdm f20 in his 98 accord, he can't use the f20 ecu, it will only run with his old ecu, could he simply resaulder the board since they're both accord?
later
