LS swap in a Del Sol
Hey guys, well i was thinking about doing a LS swap in my del sol.. nothing big. But i already know i need the motor, tranny, ecu, axels, motor mounts. But my question is, where can i buy cheap motor mounts, and ecu? Or is there some kind of wire harness that i can connect the LS motor onto my factory wire harness? And how hard you think this swap is? Ok thanks!
IMO i wouldnt go with cheap mounts for the fact theyre cheap and are probally going to be **** and changed in a few months anyways. Id just pay the money for some decent ones and call it a day. As for the harness I think your option is just to get it.
Where can i get this harness? And since my car is OBD1 right now does that mean its going to have to switch to OBD2 or can i keep it OBD1? Thanks
So basically i can use all the factoy wires and mounts? But all i need is a shift linkage? Cant i just buy a short shifter instead of searching for the Del Sol Vtec one? Im really interested in this swap and would like some more info on it! Thanks!
no i short shifter wont fix the shift linkage problem. you need a dohc vtec del sol shift linkage. its a factory honda part and its the only shift linkage that will work.
so the motor, tranny, and other wires and what not will bolt right up to my cars factory stuff but all i need is the Del Sol Vtech Shift linkage? And does honda still carry that part or is it discontinued? Thanks agian
