metalforming
any of you guys into sheet metal forming.
im almost done with a book that kinda gives basic knowledge, and wondering if anyone else does it for a hobby or for a profession here.
ive always been interested in it, and want to get into it soon for fun.
can you give any tips on tools or general advice?
thanks

there is some good info on metalmeet for sure. A fellow I work with has taken several seminars from some guy on there...so i just ask him if i cant make the metal behave. One thing I picked up is how important it is to 'tune up' your hammers and dollys. no sharp edges and make sure the surfaces are true. since they rarely are on new tools...even the expensive ones.
What are you trying to do or accomplish? Bend, form, roll, stretch or shrink?
