Ok buddy... harleys sound great, but the sterotypical rider may be a P.O.S... and yea they aren't reliable or ride worth a damn. But I would much rather be rolling around with a v-twin than this damn I-4 that i ride now (I'm lookin for a Duke or an RC)

Regardless, the sound of a harley turned me onto motorcycles before I could speak

I seriously couldn't believe what i was reading i mean, yea sure i can see one person posting the new thread but i would think other people would look down on them for those words. no, they all agreed. I read prob 20 posts down in hopes that one person would have the maturity to call one of them out. "I love waking up a neighbors at 5am" i mean are you serious? Fu**en Rude Mother F-er! I hate biches like that. "oh yeah, your ruining our image" that just proves they "think" harleys are Bad *** and don't really ride to just ride. Same guys who refuse to ride with a helmet.

Agreed, I hear from a very reliable source that no self respecting real biker would be caught dead on a blue bike,with fringe, stock pipes, a windshield, dino oil, GPS, fingerless gloves, chaps, a vest with or without patches, a helmet, a power ranger suit, a pre-tied dew rag, waving at another bike, going to a dealer for service, never taken an MSF course, or come within a mile of a trailer.

Lets not get carried away about how Harley riders are all stupid. It goes both ways, if you get what I am saying. I am not a harley fan, but lets face it v-twins do sound sweet most of the time. I agree with the guy though. I hate to see a bike without an exhaust, regardless of its style.

Should I point you to some of the stunta and street racer forums I know of? Sport bikes have the same type of riders associated with them, just in a different style.

 

Their idiots, not all Harley owners are like that. I like Harleys, if i'd had to get a cruiser it would have to be a Harley.

Harley owners who rev their engines to compensate for small weenies are complete ********. Like my neighbor who likes to rev his Harley at 2 AM for a few minutes.

so basically theyre just TRYING to be dicks. im gonna go take the exaust off my car and run open header for a few weeks, see how they like that when they gotta work in the morning.

 

A well-tuned Harley sounds fine IMO.

Loud pipes are not something to be relied upon for safety.

Harley guys just buy loud pipes because after all the bling bling and bullshit, there's nothing left to buy.

 

I know that some places ban motorcycles because of exhaust noise of a sport bike but I'm sure the majority was because of those obnoxious Harleys. And I'm sorry but if I can hear your motorcycle from over a mile away? NO thank you please just shut it off.

 

Most Harley rider are dicks, I ride with a few of them daily just cause there the only ones ever out. I know these guys pretty damn well. There the same as all those guys on that other site. None of them could give to ***** about helmets’ or jackets , they rather ride around in jeans and beaters and look cool. IMO I could care less what they do its not me, the image they give off is always going to apply to a different group of people then we ever will. I come to realize that 80% of people that like Harleys hate street bikes. They just assume that we just race around at 150, an stunt all day. Not that this is COMPLETLY true but we all know there are squids on both sides an we both have stereotypes its just the way it is

 

i suppose since the beginning, harlys have been a sign of rebellion, now these old farts got em when they were 16 and never learned to grow up. people who are annoying and make alot of loud noises in public are called toddlers in my book, give em a lollypop and they just may shutup.

He wants to get some slip ons, I hope they are loud as ****.

 

LOL, at the "hurting our image" comments in there. Most Harley riders are dentists, not Hell's Angels.

 

i have both good and bad experiences with harley riders, as for the sound some sound real nice some sound obnoxious.
