Default *Problem with missfireing*

ok so my check engine light is still on...so i got the codes pulled and the codes its pulling is 302, and 1399...now i know that the 302 is missfire in the second cylinder, but what exactly is the 1399?...now it is a 2001 AP1, i have replaced my sparkplugs with in the past month...i have checked the coils and they are not cracked...this has been going on for some time...im getting sick and tire of driving around in a 20k car and having a dam check engine light on...and today i just noticed that my maintenance required lights blinks before i start it...so ya, any help is great! thanks!

try adjusting the valves for that misfire, we had two crv and a s2k that came in with a misfire code, so my boss adjust the valves for them and they never came back with the same problem.

oh ya, sorry boss...the valves have been adjusted i forgott to put that...but here is the thing, before when i took it into this one shop it was saying that all 4 cylinders were missfireing...and after staying at that shop from 2pm to 3am when i left the code it was pulling was one that said my secondary air pump was bad...but that works just fine because when i turn the car on in the morning you can hear it...and now its reading a 302, and 1399 both of wich have nothing to do with the secondary air pump...its just missfireing again and i dont know how.....

up in canada we have an update for spark plugs with a stainless crush ring, im not sure if it applies to you folks in the states but its worth it to ask the dealership.
basically the aluminum crush rings on standard ngk plugs dont allow for enough torque so the plugs can work themself a tiny bit loose, so honda released a plus with a tougher ring that you need to torque down a bit more

I had a misfiring problem before. I would check the spark plugs/coils first. Then the injectors. Mine turned out to be a bad injector

I have the same problem as we speak. Misfire on cylinder 1 and 4 from honda diagnotic. Honda Service guy told me that my 1 and 4 compression is reading 140 and should be at 220-230. He told me that I may have blown piston ring, head gasket or bent valves. Now I just gotta fight with the dealership from the place that I bought it from(non honda) and hope they will pay for my damages to the motor. I've only had the car for a week and should still be under warrenty(30 day 1,000 miles) plus I bought the extended warranty for 3yr 36k. I hope everything goes smoothly but its gonna be a bitch fighting with the dealer to pay for it. I wonder if there gonna give me a new short block??? Anyways you may wanna shoot a compression test and see. I'll keep you posted on any updates I have and give you a list of my damages. My car may be in the shop for a few week.

My symptoms are: motor sputters hesitates, exhaust stinks, small whistling sound, sometimes hard to start.

is the car burning any oil ???? no exhaust leak off the header to head flange that the intake is taking in......
spark plug gaps?
is it still on the same tank of gas that this started on?
pull the VC and check the valvetrain

nope..no oil being burned...no exhaust leak...spark plugs dont need to be gapped...and no im on like the 59949395 tank of gas...stupid 23MPG! and when i had the valves adjusted he looked at the valvetrain and made sure it was good.

without looking at it i would tell you to reset the ECU completely... pull the battery for 15mins to ensure its reset and hope for the best...

maybe you need some seafoam in that bitch...
