Default 99 Prelude SH needs some help!!! ASAP

Hi everyone, I have had my 99 SH for almost 2 yrs now and I am just starting to do some newb tuning. I just did my brakes (F and R) and I have done a tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, full synth. oil and mugen oil filter) and some bolt ons (pulleys, cam gears, fuel rail, injectors, P & P head, exhaust and AEM CAI.), but my clutch is going out and I am in desperate need of some new struts. I am wondering what applications are available for the SH? I do know that finding parts for the SH is a hunt due to the ATTS. TIA!!

Your clutch has nothing to do with the ATTS. You could use any clutch, go for exedy of act, if not oem replacement.

Most dealers/shops don't know crap about the type SH so they put "excluding SH model" as a disclaimer.

The exedy stage 1 clutch work really good for my SH. Had the Dealer install 2 years ago (couldn't do it myself due to just having back surgery) They had to replace the flywheel aswell due to wear. If you due get the Dealer to replace it, its very expensive ($1200) If you have the means I would get a book on how to due it yourself. Can't be that hard if your mechancally inclined. Struts are not too bad to replace aswell if you have a spring compressor. Picking struts is different though there are few types. I would search to see what others are using. Or just get factory or bilstein.

so when looking at forced induction applications, when sites say (exc. sh) it is just a disclaimer? or do the bolt ons really not work? Thank you for your reply

go to FAQ and read differences between base and SH. Some parts dont fit on the the SH that would fit on the base because the SH has stuff moved to accomidate atts.

thanks, I checked out the FAQ's, man, there are some rude people out there in the forums....... I do know that if I force induct my SH that I will be robbed a few whp and that the ATTS won't work, but if I take out the ATTS and just leave the SH tranny in there, will it perform semi-ok? I'm not looking for a drag monster or a track star, but rather something to make the old men in their mustangs smile when I play around with them on the freeway. I want a clean looking and smooth running street car. TIA

If you want to turbo your SH IMHO get a lsd trans (4gen) you can get a adapter that takes the place of the ATTS but for a turbo motor its best to have as much traction as possible. You can just turbo the motor and leave the ATTS on , which it just would be 50lbs of dead weight (changing out ECU).
