Well i have a chipped ECU on my D16a6 and i couldn't tell a difference. I think it's one of those mods in which the more engine work you have done, the more beneficial it will be, but since i only have the basic bolt ons, i can't tell a difference. I think all a chipped ECU mostly does is change the rev limiter so it can rev higher and also change the fuel mixture so more fuel burns. I think that's about it. My rev limiter is now set at 8000 rpm, but i hardly ever take it that high cause it just doesn't sound right with my stock engine. I think it will snap any moment. I keep it at the stock level of 6500 or below.
your going about this at the wrong direction. Low compression high compression, what are you gonna do, chip an ecu, why you had someone re grind your cam? that would be the first thing, your lobe and duration= max volume pending flow in retrospec to what your head can do. Really be serious about this, contact Darton sleeves, do a mad bore, Push a stock head norm. compression, port intake / head, then (easiest for you ) buy a gude steup, and a homemade turbo.. just my thoughts
or how many bearing have you spun, the limiter is there for a reason, You'd understand that if you had a value of your own money, not your mommas....
