NEED HELP!!!! CAR WONT START...
Ok soo like stated in the title my car wont start and i dont know what the problem is. The motor does not crank over and not sure why not. so any help would be appericated
there is power to all of the car, i checked the starter fuse and it was good, and i tired like 2 different starters but still not working. are there any other fuses i should check
Up I still need help. Tested the starter at autozone and it passed checked if it was getting power it is changed the clutch pedal switch and it is still not starting don't kno what else to check and do. Soo I really need help to get my car yup and running
I just had the same problem with my gf's car(97 Civic). It wouldn't start, but had power to all accessories, no blown fuses etc. It ended up being that one of the wires connected to the starter was corroded on the end. We took it out and cleaned both ends and the car started right up.
Hope this helps...

check your grounds. the trans ground on mine (goes from the top of the trans to the pass side frame rail) was loose....it wouldn't even crank. tightened it up....boom-bam...she started.
Thanks man. I jus checked the same ground wire and it was only attached to the frame rail with a few stands of wire. Soo tommorw I will get a new one or fix it and see if she starts and hopefully she does

Mine ended up being the motor ground, but the syptoms were the same. Like others said before, check the grounds and the wires to the starter. Also, make sure you specifically test the starter solenoid. Autozone does NOT do this. You need to have them ground out the solenoid and not just the motor. Otherwise, they are basically jumping the starter motor and bypassing the solenoid, hence "push starting the starter." This happened the first time I took my starter into them. The starter passed because they jumped the starter motor, but the solenoid itself was bad.

have you tried jumping the car? I had a problem where my car would start when it was being jumped, but not when I didn't jump it b/c the voltage regulator had died in my alternator. So jump the car and if it cuts on... take the "+" terminal off the battery and if the car stays on... your VR is dead in your alt, but if your car dies your alt itself is dead.
did you think about checking the main relay? Under the dash there is a main relay that has the tendency to go bad when the weather changes drastically. Last year my DA did the same thing the first day it got cold the main relay got stuck and I tapped on it with a screwdriver and it freed right up and it turned right over. then, spring came and the first hot day of the year, it did same ****, i hit the relay again and it freed up and fired up. Right before I wen to swap the motor out, I wanted to hear it run before i swapped it and the same **** happened only that time the relay was shot. I used my brothers main relay from his Integra and the car fired right up. Try looking for that relay and see if thats the problem
