Default 2007 Accord swap into 1997 Civic?

I have a 1997 Civic Sedan w/ a 2000D16Y7 fitted with Jackson Supercharger. A couple months after installation, head gasket couldn't take it and cracked, spewing oil into my coolant lines and radiator. I found a brand-new accord (it's the i4, not v6) that got in a rear collision (Car's fucked up pretty bad) but the engine+tranny are fine. 4k for the entire car. I couldn't believe it either for a brand-new (everything) engine...

I can spend time and money on replacing my head gasket but I feel like I'd start putting money into one of the worst Honda engines SOHC non-V (with auto tranny). I'm not complaining because it beat a turbo 99 Si (and many other stunned drivers). I'm on par with a V6 mustang. We pulled up to a light and he asked if we had the same engine in our cars. I looked at him, rolled up my window as he was talking, and blew through the light. I just couldn't stand his presence any longer.

Well if anyone else out there has any other options, I'd love to hear them. I'm not going any lower than 2.0L engine.

Thanks
