Default Throwing Code 41, Primary oxygen sensor heater, how/what do I fix?

Im throwing a code 41 for the Primary oxygen sensor heater. How/What do I fix. Do I need a new O2 sensor? Or is the sensor heater located elsewhere on the car? My engine is a B18B1 in a 94 Hatch. Thanks in advance.

90% of the time if it throws a oxygen sensor heater circuit malf. or code 41 the heater circuit in the sensor is burned up and you need a new one. The other 10% of the time its a wiring issue, ususally a loose pin in the O2 connector from the engine wiring harness. That's been my experience.

In my case it's the wiring, but I don't care to source it. When it gets tuned, just ask the tuner to disable that sensor.

also look for a crack on your header. i have a long crack on my stock z6 header... Thats what I think is wrong with mine ( i also have a 41 ) .... So i got a cheap e-bay header . i hope this helps if not then i have a new o2 sensor i will use.

lol... i'm throwing the exact same code with the exact year hatch with the same motor but, i don't even have an O2S. the DC headers i have doesn't have an O2 bunge. i need to get the right exhaust manifold and put the O2s in.

That there is your problem. you need the o2 for this motor or else the ecu will not be getting a singal.....

Update. I put in my new header, (its a JVT from e-bay 4-2-1) i also had a new o2 that i put on ... my cel is gone.

What'd you do to clear your code? I'm having it on my EK with a B16a.

Pull the the radio backup fuse out for a minute or so. I think its a 7.5. Its in the fuse box under the hood not in the cabin.

I swapped the o2 sensor, replaced the header with an ebay one. Still the same problem.

Any chance that the cheap header still allows for the code? If not, I guess I will have to trace the pin/wiring super carefully.
