Y7 pans are usually steel.
Y8's aluminum usually.

I have the almost same problem, but with a D16z6/D14a1.

I want to mount the z6 header (4-2-1 yesss) but it wont fit. It will hit it the pan in such a way, the secondaries won't even bolt to the primaries. The z6 pan isn't has wider to make room for the header. The d14 block is the same has the hf.

Will a d16z6 pan bolt on this one?

nothing i had this proble a year ago. save time and effort just get a y8. trust me i tried almost every d16 pan
