hey everyone,

i have a 94 civic Si that i bought with the motor blown to **** and i already had a d15b with a z6 head laying around that just needed a head gasket

well i put all new gaskets on the mini-me and put it in the Si, it runs great feels like it has power but it detonates like a bitch throughout the rpm range

any ideas what it might be and what i could do to fix this???

higher octane, retard timing,different heat range spark plugs,tuning probably others but there is somewhere to start

 

How's your mechanical and ignition timing?
