Default Going to be doing a color change... questions involving work..

Car is a 96 EK, currently repainted. Supposedly it was shot with Flamenco Black Pearl (99 SI), but whatever the case, the paint doesn't match the doors and the hood fenders off the 99 SI front which is on the car. That said, I think it was reshot the stock color. Anyways, whomever did it did something **** poorly and the paint on the roof is now cracking (lacquer checking I have been told). Anyways, I am going to need to strip the old paint completely off so I figured I might as well do a color change since its not too much more work and I have plenty of time to finish. I can pull the engine, strip the interior, whatever. I am contemplating if I should reshoot the engine bay also while I am at it. I saw a picture on here of someone who reshot their engine bay and they still had all the brake hardware/lines/booster/porp valve in the car still. Does this still produce "good" results if you simply mask and shoot around the existing lines? Any other good/easy ways or ideas on how to reshoot the engine bay with somewhat relative ease? Also, I know its best to remove all the glass, but I am not going to have that as an option as it gets very expensive to reset all the glass. Is it possible to still achieve good results by simply masking the glass off and sanding up to it? I'm planing on changing the color to championship white, in case that matters. Was going to shoot a single stage paint as well.
