hi all, excuses my english. i have a 97 prelude automatic, here is the problem, when you stop and go, its lag on the 1st, and 2nd gear, everytime when its try to shift from 1 to 2, the rpm kinda slips to 1000 more rpm, and it shift to 2nd gear, and then 2nd gear kinda lagging, but when it pass 2 or 3000 rpm it stop, so is this a trannys problem? or was it something more?

sounds like the transmission is going out. its pretty typical of that trans. do a search and you will get alot of info on it
