My Honda shop manual says i can adjust the fuel mix
on my 86 accord lxi with efi.In the book it shows that you can adjust the fuel mixture in the box with all of the sensors. But i cannot find the sensor in either my 86 or 89 box.It also says I can adjust the throttle angle sensor ,but it is riveted from the factory.I have replaced just about all of the sensors on the engine and it is harder than hell to start cold. When the temp is above 40 degrees it will start fine, when it hits 30 it takes a long time to get it to start.Any ideas .Thanks

I do not believe that you can actually adjust the fuel/air mixture as such.
As I recall it, my '86 Accord LXi had a cold start sensor which enriched the fuel mixture until the engine warmed up some (and the idle speed was increased as well). Check your manual and see where this sensor is located and what the test values are for it. I do not recall whether the switch opens or closes when cold. The manual may give you that information that you can use to simulate the sensor output to see whether that resolves the cold start problem.

Unfortunately Honda shop manuals were not proof read for accuracy until the model year 1990. Youre better off with a chiltons in this case. (unless you have access to web information such as Mitchel or alldata.)
