I really don't want to spend 1700+ on a greddy kit but i do however want some moree power.... I've seen plenty of custom turbo setups done before and i feel comfortable turboing my car at minamal boost (4-6psi) What all should i go about getting if so? Is a vortech FMU appropriate?

 

ya as far as fuel is concerned, you can do a bosche inline pump, and a 12:1 vortech FMU

 

go to customturbo.com, they show some custom turbo setups on a d16z6. They show pricing and all that too. good luck if you want to do a custom one. I've seen some good results. Just remember- Engine management!!
