I will buy a Dc5 soon from Japan, i wanted to know if someone can tell me if the headlights come with OEM HID? since my 99 ITR Dc2 has OEM HID, i thought a upgrade of model and change to dc5 should have OEM HID as well.

DC5R's have HID standard unless it was removed. Supposedly in some areas a Type-C package is offered and it removes the HID, but I've never seen one, and who would want to remove the HID that's standard!

 

All with C-package have HID's, there are indeed some that did not come with HID's!

HIDs are not standard. You should do some homework before you try to answer questions you don't know the answer to.

 

just have the guy take a picture of the ballasts.

Ballasts = hid

no ballasts = halogen

 

i know there are some hid oem in the dc5-r
but i'm not sure if they come standard, optional maybe

 

I never said I was 100% certain but I know DC5R's have HID available. Cut people a break, not everyone lives in Japan. And the ones you probably saw that didn't have HID were most likely AUDM DC5R's or from another country. Even so, it doesn't matter, all that matters is YES, the DC5R can have HID from the factory and you can swap it right on your car.
