shaved door moldings... solutions ideas?
how would you guys suggest "fixing" a car with the door moldings shaved. how to get it to line up properly and just look right in general.
i know theres a few factors such as how it was shaved, bondo weld ect. if its bondo im sure with a little elbow grease you could pop the holes back out. but what if its welded? anyone deal with this?

So you trying to put the moldings back on?
If just the holes are welded, you can sand down the filler (bondo), paint and use doublesided tape for moldings instead of clips (depends on year and model). If it was completely welded shut (meaning less than 5mm of filler used), then you better off getting a new door.
Although I might make it sound easy, if not done properly, you might have to do some work on fenders, doors, and quater panels along with paint.

I'd just buy new doors. Not worth the damage you'd probably do to the metal and paint. If they're welded it would be a major PITA to add them back on. If you're dead set on it, "measure twice cut once" comes to mind. Lay them out, use a level, make plenty of marks with a chalk pen, measure again, then poke the holes out.
