I've seen a few tegs wingless and 3rd brake lightless along with teg's that run type R spoilers with out a 3rd brake light. Has anyone ever had issues doing this?

 

just do it. im from CA where theres laws for every little thing and ive been runnin without 3rd break light for almost a year with no problem. even had to stop once right in front a cop early in tha morning when tha sun came up. guess he didnt notice.

 

Im pretty sure you could get away with it, if you mean cop wise. If you dont drive like an idiot in front of a cop he probably wont pull you over. I have had 5% tint windows all the way around on all my cars and I tend to drive like an idiot sometimes, but I guess cops here are nice or they just dont care about the windows because out of about 100 times only 1 cop has said something about it.

 

inspection might catch it,,,but for daily driving you should be fine

 

i had a cop say somthing but mine looks like it didnt come with one. also, he only pulled me over cause he saw my car parked with all the anti theft and he wanted to meet the driver. lol highest stolen car in the county!!

 

im from cali too and so far no problems, there was once a motorcycle cop behind me at a stoplight and kept looking at me even as I was turning into another street, everytime I drive the gsr, I feel like Ima get pulled over

werd i've driven my car for like two years and nothing yet. just make sure you have your two tail lights working at least.

 

I took my stock gsr wing off and don't have a 3rd brakelight, and I passed CHP brake and lamp inspection. I also had several cops behind me at stop lights and no problems yet, been over 4 years.

 

they dont say anything around the bay area.... they mostly pull over those 20 inch rims and loud azz music crap out here...

Just install one. Why would you want to eliminate a legitimate safety feature? I assume you've never been involved in a rear-end collision. If you had been, you wouldn't be considering driving around without the CHMSL.

There has been a few times that i've almost hit someone b/c they didn't have theirs working.

In my case, I was the one who got hit, and my lamp was working properly. I'd prefer not to increase my chances of that happening again.

even if some people are wingless, don't they have that rear light by the rear window?

i know i do..
