Default type-R tranny

so i know the civic type-r has a six speed tranny in it, was wondering if it would go clean onto my b18a2 block. and prices.please.

what year ctr would you be talking about? i assume that since you said 6 speed you mean the k-series one. B and K are not compatible. and there are no 6speed b-series transmissions

If you want a shorter geared tranny than grab a b16. Get it with an LSD if you want one also.

naw, i want six gears. i want sixth to be low rev engine care gear. dont like cruising at 6 grand on the highway for half an hour. anything 6 speed for b series? if i wanted shorter gearing, i would get a gsr tranny

It's not going to happen. Your best bet would be custom ratios in your current transmission.

Make a hybrid b-series tranny. Short 1-4 gears (B16) and an LS 5th gear.

It's a matter of semantics, really.

What I and others meant was to take various OEM (or even custom-manufactured) gears, and assemble then in your transmission in order to achieve a custom setup that meets your desired goals. You may want to contact "Bense" for some additional information about this. Transmissions make him happy, especially custom ones.
