Simple Koni Yellow question ?
How stiff of a spring rate can a OTS Koni yellows handle ?
Im running 550 front and 650 rear ?
With these rates I have, should I have the shock at full soft or firm ?
Also is is 250 front and 300 rear too soft for the street ?
thanks

I've been told 600 is about the limit of what they can control, but if you don't mind being underdamped, they shouldn't blow out or anything. I'd wait for confirmation from someone more knowledgeable than me being accepting it as fact though.
How soft the rates are really depends on you, I mean it is your car after all. You should find some way to take a ride in cars with different spring rates down the streets you normally drive. This way you can determine for yourself what rates you find acceptable for your car. The general rates I see people using range from 300-500 in either the front or back.

300 should be good for the back, but I think you're going to need something more in the 350-400 range for the front. Off-the-shelf GC kits for Integras use 380 lb/in springs up front. The "harsh" feel of the ride is going to be more determined by the rear springs anyway, so don't be afraid to use at least a 350 lb spring up front.
I had 380 in front and 450 in back on my Integra and it felt quite harsh. If I had swapped the rear springs to maybe 300 or even 250 I think it would have much more compliant.

Im prolly gonna do 380 front adn 400 rear.
Koni shocks will be 2 turns from soft front and 1 turn from stiffest rear.
I do want a lil oversteer. hehe

Hi Rob, hmmmm, I've seen you before somewhere!! those rates arent too soft for the street, that proabbly a good rate to go with. 650 rear is slightly beyond where koni recommends you head with OTS shocks.

Konis only have a range of 1 3/4 turns from soft to stiff.
Also you'll probably want to be tying out different settings on the shocks to figure out what's the best setting for you.
