exhaust pipe question

exhaust pipe question
ok so my friend crashed his car 92 eg and hes gonna give me his canister does any one know if i can just take the 3 bolts off where the pipe goes over the strut and attatch to my car.
so pretty much my question is that is it the same pipe or do i have to weld on the mufller
oh and my car is a 96 integra rs.
