Well on the way home i noticed check engine light came on but car ran fine. I got home and well checked the pwo ecu for codes. Came up with only one code... code 22. So i got out my b16 manual and went to work. Checked the ground and it was fine. Check the ecu b5 pin and it was good. Then i checked the oil and it was dry !!! The guy i bought the motor from has an aftermarket dipstick, not sure how accurate that is but only a little trace of oil was on there. I just did my swap and added 4 qrts less then 2 months ago with new filter. There is no oil leak at all. No oil on the floor and car doesn't burn any oil. Where the hell did my oil go??

Why did my low oil light not come on? Yes it does work when i first turn the key on. Then it goes off like normal. Now the CEL went away and does not come back on after filling it with 3 qrts. Want to see whats up before i add another qrt and new filter. Will prop do an oil change now! Also didn't want to add too much incase dipstick is not accurate. Any suggestions as to oil dissapearing??

 

Get a stock dip stick. You could be burning oil and not see it.

So when you did your 4 quart oil change you check the dip stick then too, correct? Did it register then or did you not check the dip stick?

It registered when i filled it up to almost full. If i was burning oil that much wouldn't i see it???
