06 Si to Ex suspension
i just picked up an 06 EX coupe as a daily driver. Is there a huge difference in suspension between the Si and the EX? I know its just the beater.. but i just want to stiffen it up a little.. its very sloppy compared to my old car.
Yes there is a large difference. In my 06 LX sedan the ride was comfortable and 'sloppy' as you put it. In the SI, you feel every lil bump in the road, but it really does grip quite well, even with the craptastic tires I still have on it.

What do you have as the weekend warrior?

can go with HFP suspension on your EX. but imo the EX suspension is already stiff enough. I have the HFP suspension, and since I'm no pro in suspension, I can't feel no difference besides the fact that it is a little more bumpier now. Still, before I installed mine, it was really bumpy to begin with.
hmm i dont know about stiff. it feels as sloppy as a wet noodle to me.. i havent been in an SI so i dont know if its really any better. i know its not a " performance car" but the body roll really irritates me.. i guess i just have to live with it.

Upgrade your rear sway and get the hfp suspension.
The si spring rates aren't for the ex.

The suspension for the Si is designed for the weight of the motor/car
vs
The suspension for the Ex weight etc etc
The whole point in honda designing SPECIFIC HFP suspensions for auto/manual/ex/si was that they should be followed.
The entire point of purchasing HFP for your specific model is to retain the warranty for the products which you WILL NOT GET if you apply it on the wrong model.
As for you using the SI on the EX, for you to install that in my opinion will be a waste since you'd just be asking for honda to void your suspension and any possible issues you might have forthcoming to get "better handling".
You need to remember that dealers look for every opportunity to cop out of paying for a repair they can.
Don't give them that on a platter.

Something I recently found out. Most dealership service advisors get paid on COMMISSION. Which means they'll look for any opportunity to get cash out of pocket that they can.
