Default crankshaft cryogenics

i need to know if anyone on here has ever cryogened a crankshaft...the real question is does it retain dimensional stability afterwards?? i would really like to do this process to my virgin h22a crank before install...thanks

It should not change dimensionally at all.I personally don't see the need with a Honda crank. But it won't hurt.

it is a honda crank its just the icing on the cake i guess you can say how cold should i go if i wanted to do a crankshaft and connecting rods with wrist pins together would -75 degrees celsius be sufficient?? or a more deeper freeze...

usually a cryo treatment is suppose to be around -330* F the reason is so that the atom within whatever your freezing reorganize to a more dense state. you should measure clearences before and after the process to be safe. hope that clearer up any issues you had. oh just to put it out there cryoing your crank is overkill however stock rods would need them.
