piston pin??
anyone got this out without using press and not damage the piston doing it?
well i have to install PR3 on my LS tonigth(bad rings and have teh PR3 pistons and rings just sitting there) and won't be able make it to teh shop for them to press it out for me, i was wondering if they is any other way to do it without teh press.

true, i guess i'm gonna have to wait get all 8 of them pressed out and press back in. damn it's going to suck not havign a car for a day....

That's not something that I would recommend ******* around and cutting corners with. Unless it's an insatiable hobby of yours to disassemble engines and repair mistakes.
Nah, I had some fun with a bad piston, I would suggest cutting the piston in half.
Just try not to hit the pins as you're cutting through it..
But really, take it to a machine shop.

Machine shop only....and really you need to make sure they are use to doing the honda stuff. "American" shops generally oval the piston and or screw up the bottom ring landing (which either cracks later on or catches the ring so it doesnt move freely).
