96 lx civic, obd1 conversion problems..
Alright, So I have a 1996 Civic LX. It originally had the D16y7 in it, I swapped over to a D16y8 since the y7 blew a headgasket and rodknock. The D16y7's come with a THREE wire IAC and the p2e computer. Well, I Did an Intake manifold swap to a Z6, b16 throttle body and threw the obd1 computer in with skunk2 conv harness. Car ran like **** from idle till about 3500ish.
I then, converted over to a TWO wire IAC just like one internet site I had visited said to do. I even repinned the ecu as it said to do so. Well, my car idles funny, sounds like its loping at idle, its kinda sluggish till about 3400 and then it smoothens out.
Very seldomly, the check engine light will go off for about 3-5 seconds as well as sometimes it'll have a fuel cut at like 4k, I will then reset the key really quick and the problem isn't re-occuring till maybe later in the day. I am just so damn frustrated, I need help.
