Weird problem after OBD2A to OBD1 conversion
Alright, so I converted from OBD2A to OBD1 successfully for my D16Z6 in my 1997 Del Sol S that had a Y7 engine harness (did the iacv conversion, wired vtec, etc) I have no check engine light either. So I start the car cold. It goes up to 2500 rpm, then down to 500, up to 2500, down to 500 and stays there. The car will shake and it sounds like its cammed and runs poorly with poor throttle response. Once it gets to a certain temperature, it smoothens out and idles around 900-1000rpm, which is high compared to the idle when I had my old OBD2 ecu in it (750 rpm). But everything runs perfectly once warmed up. I was thinking it may be the FITV just because it does this only on COLD starts. Could this be true?
