I need help, power problem..
So, i attempt to get some shocks installed on my car at a shop, and he was unsuccessful (the shocks were the wrong one's). I brought the car home, and the next day car wont start. The lights weren't on or anything. I gave it a jump, it started right up i left it on for 1 hour to charge. I wake up the next morning and its dead, so i clean the battery terminals and take a look at the alt belt. It has hairline cracks on it i really don't think this could be the cause. and i had to give it a jump again. Let it charge for an hour again, then i go now and its dead again. I have never had any problems prior to the shock installation attempt.
So to get to the point is there something that the shop could have done that caused this? What do you think the problem is and what do i have to get checked? He put the car on this gadget and it was displaying 11 when i had the wipers and lights on. With out them on it was displaying 13 is this fine?
Thanks for looking at my thread. I would really appreciate some help.

that gadget might be a DMM (digital multimeter) set it on DC Volts and go pos to pos neg to neg and you will prob get anywhere from 12.45v-13.0v (static test) then have someone crank it and hope it doesn't drops below 9.6 then take the altenator an get it checked. if your battery dosent want to hold a charge the most likly the plates are sulfated.
Thanks for the response, I 'm thinking about taking it to the Honda dealer cant seem to find any decent mechanics. Can you please elaborate on the plates being sulfated? The battery has a sears sticker on it, i have heard in the past that they have a life time warranty, should i get it changed anyways and still get the alternator checked?
Yeah take it to sears (either the whole car or just the battery) and they'll test the battery and if its bad they will prorate the price of the battery if the old one is still in warranty. Def. sounds like a battery...but if the alt. voltage is 11V with a load (wipers and lights), I'd check the alt. belt tension and see if it brings the voltage up..it should be at least 13.
Getin the phone book and call on alternator and starter shop, have them diagnose the charging system and battery, when they pulled the old strut they may have damaged a wire in there, it sounds like a bad alternator, it could just be bad luck, a coinsidence. If battery water gets too low, the battery wont last long after that, all the battery is bad or it has a dead cell killing it over night or a wire got shorted under the hood and this could be your whole problem from MX they did, but prove it before you blame them.

Yeah, in my mind i am blaming them, i never had any power issues with the car prior to them installing the shocks, wish i had a garage
.
I got another question do you think it could have anything to do with the fact that my system got stolen, and the wires are just exposed in the back(where the sub and amp used to be)?

The sub and amp wires have to be able to be disconnected from up front somewhere, get rid of them before the shop blames that for your probs man.

Yeah thanks for the tip, i really don't feel like having any more problems with that shop, because i will go crazy, i got jipped off you can say. They charged me 450 to install the 4 shocks and springs, cv joints and control arms in the front. Happens when thats your first car and you don't know anything but thats where Honda-tech helps ^_^. But yeah, i will get the wires taken out. Not planning on getting another system anyways because they will steal it again *(
