Anyone have an H22 powered DC2 GSR?
Looking for any comments on H22 powered 94+ GSRs. Thinking about making the change, If anyone has a Turbo GSr w/H22. Id REALLY like to talk to you.
Some of my questions,
~What Mounts did you use, how much vibration do you have? (At idle)
~How simple is the wiring, ( I think OBD1 is exactly the same for the GSR/Prelude)
My set up right now::: Stock OBD1 B18C1, stock internals, T3/T4 turbo setup tuned to 10psi. Been driving it now for 3 years. so its time for a change.

It fits just like an EG swap... same enginey bay chassis design. I know of someone who is using the HCP kit (no cutting required in the engine bay) and running a H22 in their 4-door GSR sedan. With the HCP mounts, in 4 cars including mine, there is very little to zero vibration with the mount kit, even at idle.... seems like the only time you really feel the vibration is when you turn on your car and your car is cold (like any mount kit would do because your motor is idling at higher rpms) but once it's warm, you don't feel anything. Wiring is very simple if you have an OBD-1 car and you have an OBD-1 motor w/the same plugs.
As for turboing a H22 motor... they really don't like boost that much, but love the squeeze. Unless you rebuild the H22 block, I wouldn't boost more than 5-8 psi on the stock block (US block -- lower comp).

My Friend has and H22 in his 94 GSR. He used the HCP mounts and has no vibrations. Car runs great and pulls damn hard! Swap just like any other, Just took a little more time getting everything linned up.
