1993 Accord on the fritz ... Help.

1993 Accord on the fritz ... Help.

I do not know a lot of the technical terms for cars so i will try my best to explain whats happening

I have a 1993 honda accord lx manual with 159k miles on her.
Shes been having issues, my mechanic says,
"your fuel tank is full of crap and its sending that gunk through your fuel injection system, your injectors were so dirty I had a hell of a time cleaning them. Use fuel injection cleaner once a month"
And that was it. But the issues started again less than one month after he cleaned it! And now two fuel injector cleaners later ... I think she's dying
.
Here are her symptoms.
1. Every morning when I start her up, her rpms go from high to low, then she sputters and shuts off.
She does that twice or so before she'll stay on. I let her warm up till the rpms remain on 2 or 1.
2. And now heres the scary part. When I drive her its give or take. I'll be driving and it suddenly feels as if someone put a 2 ton rock on my car. She starts dropping velocity, and no matter how hard I push the accelerator she just wont pick up, and i keep on losing velocity. When I attempt to accelerate I often hear this popping sound. Usually the popping sound is followed by my car picking right back up and zooming away. I just thought it was some of that gunk pushing through my fuel injection system, but today she popped like crazy, bucked, and just drove slowly all the way back home. No gear is safe, she'll act up from 1st to 5th.
My husband has been reading up on hondas and has
changed the egr valve
turned down the ring in the FITV
No avail
we are going to try cleaning the IACV and the TB like stated in this thread this weekend.

ALSO if you believe it is my fuel injection system ... how can I manually take the parts apart and clean it myself.
