'Driver' side power window.
Seems like searches are returning passenger-side related window problems and mostly in 4DR models :X so I'm deciding to post.....
Took off the door panel today to work with the window itself and the motor etc etc...
First off...
01 Civic EX 2DR
-The problem: Driver side window goes down fine; coming back up, it slows down after crawling ~3 inches up and then stops.
Seems like it jams, but when I help push the window up, the window goes up fine. When it comes to a stop, the power switch locks out and won't let me move it up or down (even with & without auto-down). After waiting a few seconds, the window can continue to go down but not up.
After helping it up past the jammed point, it does appear to fall off track abit then gets back into position once very close to a full close.
Any clue on what is wrong? I've had this issue on my previous '97 coupe as well, but not as bad...damn honda windows!!

I asked Honda to look at my 01 sedan windows as both fronts are slow to go up, especially if they are wet. (Slow to the point of stopping). They said the regulators needed to be replaced as they were very worn. It was going to be $800 total for the job which I declined. I'll save myself 8 bills and help the window up myself everytime.
might have to replace the track or clean it out? i had a buddy get some **** stuck in his accord, and i helped him out. i took a brush cleaned out the " track" then it worked. just an idea lol
Well, this problem could become a nightmare. My bud's Accord had a slow window return, and he new his regulator was dying. But, one day, the cable on it snapped, and the window got jammed half-way open. Luckily he had a spare regulator from a previous problem.
I would recommend check http://www.car-part.com for a driver's side door assembly to steal a regulator from. My bud only paid $75 for his replacement door assembly (that includes the whole door with handle, lock assembly, interior panel, etc....).
