Default ITR + spacers?

ok just want to ask if anyone is running bolt on spacers with their ITR.

Problem is my advan RG's are i think 45+ offset and sit in the guard too much for my liking, and am looking at getting some bolt on spacers but im not sure what size to go for. im thinking 25mm will be pretty nice giving it a pretty staunch wide stance but will prob need to tuck the guard lips a tiny bit. tyres are 205 45 16. this will also improve the track of the car im sure.

you thoughts please.. heres a pic of how it stands now

^ Yeap.

Hope you have a nice stiff suspension too, otherwise your fenders are going to hate you.

yea those are the ones i meant.. bolt on

im thinkn 25mm might be too wide but do you guys think it needs them? should i just get some new rims again with better offset .. ahah

i notice that most of the people on here dont care about width or filling the guards with their wheels on hondas etc and see some pretty poor ofset (see below), maby i hang around with too many of the skyline an silvia heads back here.

no offence to this, its actually mint

its not really goin to improve your handling if your suspension is stock

now i could see doin this if you had a super stiff suspension, and wanted to run wider tires for better handling

but you seem to want to do it just for looks, to each there own, but like said above i hope you have a stiff suspension, because if your wheels are +45 and you want 25mm spacers thats and offset of +20 there goin to stick out a bit and on hard turns will hit your fenders and mess up the fenders and your tires, if your suspension isnt stiff enough, or your high enough

cool thanks for your input, im running D2 coilovers set pretty stiff.. im not sure how wide people have run before, im newish to the whole wheel fitment side of things thanks for putting it into perspective. my last wheels the time attack style ce28n i was using was a 38+ which was better so a 20+ will be rather wide and possibly need camber arms

I had +37 offset 15" wheels with 205/50/15 Azenis, with H&R Sport springs on stock shocks (Only 1.75" drop), and they rubbed like there's no tomorrow.

I love being able to dive into any corner, and just feeling the wheels tuck perfectly. It's awesome.

I can't stand rubbing...

recommended is ~+40mm for our cars, some mugen wheels come in at around +38mm so 25 will definitely be too much, i am running +55 fit wheels right now and they are sucked in really far in the wheel well, i bought some 16mm hubcentric spacers so i will be at around +39 which will be perfect imo. i suggest getting 5 or 7mm spacers, you might not even have to run extended studs if the lug nuts have enough threads

I agree w/ your spacer suggestions. No larger than 10mm.

I have 215/45-16 on my RG's and I rub on the rear fenders (just alittle) over bumps with damper setting in the low mid range.

Just chuck a 5mm spacer in there. The difference in looks is quite noticable considering its only 5mm. No need to go extreme with a 25mm spacer and have to roll your fenders, ext. studs, etc.

Ask Big Phat R; he knows all about low offset with thick spacers in the front.

it is not safe to run over spacer that's 5mm on stock studs, u will need extension wheel studs and open end wheel nuts for that.

Not to mention that your wheel bearings will hate you. LOL

yea thanks for the ideas guys, i will look for some 5mm spacers perhaps, but i dont like the idea as they are considered "dodge" and i dont like to use parts that are like this.. i was informed by someone that the correct tyre should be 215 45 16 instead of 205 45 16 just as the 98 spec uses, however i got these tyres brand new on the rim when i purchased them off a mate so yea will have to wait till they wear/get this job im goin for!!!!

205/45 is the correct tire, and what does it matter if it says dodge, thats just ignorant

im sure 98 spec with 16" use oem 215 45 16.. well apparently they do here?

ive been told the ofset isnt the problem its the width of the tyre and the shape of the rim.. 98 spec are actually 50+

Yet because of their flat design, don't appear as recessed as my RG.
