Default Bad Piston Rings

So I guess my piston rings are bad on two of the pistons. Looks like its time for a rebuild? how much does rebuilding usually cost? i was quoted 2400. What does the rebuild consist of to make it that much? the boring and honing? oversize pistons and rings? bearings?

**** for 2400 you can get a nice low mileage swap or build something decent....i hope that 2400 wasn't a quote for a stock rebuild

It depends how worn the cylinder walls are...

Could be ever more... a rebuild like that would pretty much make the motor new with 0 miles not "low millage" like jdm motors and the price depends on how much work the OP will do himself, if her just drives his car into a shop its probably going to be more than 2400
