I'm having prob putting back my strut bar after installing the skunk2 IM on my gsr...
Since the throttle body now sit higher, the strut bar no longer fit because of the cable it in the way...
Anybody had that issue... I need the strut bar to go back there...

i have no experience with this but i've read that you can put it on backwards and everything will fit. try to search. Just my 2 cents just put the stock IM back on, you are wasting your time on a gsr unless you have a fully built, port and polished head.

It dosen't sounds good to me.... I even try with the typeR cable and backet like they say on Skunk2 website and because the "cam" swing the opposite side of gsr, it cant be fit there... There is something wrong there... I'd like to talk with someone that have succed there... Cause on the skunk2 website they say you can keep the gsr throttle body but it's hard to believe... I think they forgot to say... " Oh! and by the way you also need to buy our skunk2 throttle body...
I feel like the guys there didn't even try there own product there...

itr throttle cable and bracket should fix your problem, skunk2 > stock gsr
. you dont need a crazy build its just an intake manifold

A stock GSR will make better midrange with the IAB's.

and the skunk2 will make better high end and will be great with other mods for the future but its not the topic of the thread he already has the manifold and is having problems with the throttle cable bracket placement btw i also forgot to mention if you switch to a itr throttle cable u will have to change the thing on the throttle body that connects to the throttle cable
yeah you have to switch out the bracket and cable to the type r one. Then you should be ok. I think you can also use the bracket from an LS.
yeah get a itr cable and bracket and you should be good. LS cable is the same thing as itr so if you can come across that, that would work also. And if you want, call up skunk2, they have good customer service. You can tell them whats goin on and they will be happy to help you out, even tho i bet their gonna say get a itr cable and bracket.

did u take off the bracket on throttle body to hold the gsr cable? with with the skunk 2 intake u can still use your gsr throttle body, u just gotta take off the gsr throttle cable bracket and put the itr one on the skunk 2 intake, that with a type r cable and u should be golden
when I had mine back in the day, i didnt even switch the cam on the throttle body, I think i put the type r bracket on backwards with one bolt as far away from the thottle body as i could get it, then just hooked up the cable straight to the throttle body, instead of wrappin it around the cam. Im sure it sounds like jibberish, but it can be done without switchin out the cam on the throttle body if your lazy like me
If u are still unsure, u could just buy a type r throttle body it is larger than the stock gsr one and is setup correctly for your application

Why is there always someone to say "it won't change nothing if you don't have a crazy built blablabla!" What do you know about my set up... FYI all my internal has been upgrade...pistons, cams, springs, retainers, valves, clutch, flywheel... I do more that 2000 miles of track every year (solo, autox and lapping and did the national last year with that car)... And it's not because I only have 190 post that i'm a newbie here... I don't spend my time on the web, I spend it on the track...Now I have blown the engine 1 month ago and I'm rebuilding... So if you don't know how to help, just don't answer... Ok, my comming out is done...
...Now it's the TB I have a prob with...

Ok I'm gonna be precise and I even phoned the guys at S2 and they didn't seem to be aware of the prob... the guy when out to try to find a car with that set up
The cable that hook up on the cam of the tb on a gsr is opposite of the rest of integra, type R include. If you stand in front of the engine bay, the gsr cable run behind the intake and than curve to come upfront and hook on the cam on the tb. The GSR tb cam swivel conterclock... On a type R it swivel opposite way. So even if I buy a cable and bracket and run the new cable in front of the intake (like on a type R), how will I hook the cable on the cam, since it swivel clockwise...opposi of the gsr...
Moreover, will it make the butterfly to open correctly, totally... will the opening ratio will still be good...

I just happen to have an old pic layin around, note the throttle cable hookin to the bottom of the cam without wrapping around it. I just rigged it up so i could drive the car, but the first thing i did was put a brick on gas pedal and check throttle body to see if it was opening all the way, worked like a charm, i didnt keep my car n/a for long, but if i had then i would just have upgraded to the itr throttle body for the long run

when i had a gsr...
i did a sk2 mani , used the ITR cable and bracket, AND a throttle rotor off a D series 5speed car(h23 was same also)
oem strut bar fit back on too, i may have had to "flip" it around to fit though
