TB doesn't like opening. The force required to open then opens it a lot. In short, the TB is sticky and the the car is very jerky to drive because of it.

Yes, the adjustment screw is a good place to start to ensure good TB operation.

Adjusting that return limiting screw will likely require adjustment of the TPS as well.

That's the last thing I can think of....if that doesn't work, I'm probably going to get rid of Skunk2 TB.

If you move it a lot, maybe. But you can get away with a surprising amount.

the problem with mine was it had too much play in it, causing the blade to rub on the side on the throttle bore and get stuck. thats what keeps it from closing and or makes it stick.

I ended up taking it apart and reworking a few things and now it works fine.

Any more detail? That's what mine does too afaik. It moves laterally, within the bore. It's a really small amount, but it does do it.

It involved remaking the spacer underneath the spring so that everything would tighten up against the bearing with zero play.

Damn, something that requires talent

That's good to know. I didn't know if I could fix it doing that.

It's made me really want to go back to OEM, but between the OEM TB being bonded to the manifold and talked about FITV leaks on the Euro-R I've resisted the temptation...so far.

edit: I should say though, the IM/TB swap could have gone off much worse. Just the S2 throttle body and a slight *cough* slight over torquing of the FPR bolts. Stupid FPR
The Euro-R is the cleanest part of the engine!

Had no problem with mine. I believe the recent 'Pro series' TB was meant to correct some minor design issues.

Mine was bought late summer. And it really has been crap so far. Hopefully I can pull off Rosko's solution.

It's pretty easy to see how sticky it is in your hands. And you should adjust the throttle stop as much as you can before you install it.
