Radio Lights dont coe on...
My first post, i think.. like the forum!! will post up my pics soon.. I just purchased a used 04 Accord EX 4cyl manual with 50K. I turned the car on this morning, the dash lit up full (i have it on the brightest setting) but the radio lights do not come on at all... when i shine a flashlight, or during the day when the sun hits it, i can read it, but it does not light up or move with the light dimmer switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated, cuz i cant tell what im doing in the dark, lol...
well i called the local honda stealersip and they said that this is a common problems with this model of accords, lady i work with has an 04 with 50K and she had the same exact problem at the same miles... lol...
the guy said they have to take the radio apart and replace a board inside the radio. I get a 30 day warranty with my purchase of my accord, since it was used... so, just another problem solved!!!
HOPEFULLY PEOPLE CAN FUND THIS IF THEY SEARCH!!! if someone has this proble.

It's good that it was covered under warranty.
If it wasn't under warranty, it probably would have been best to go with an aftermarket system even though an expensive ($150?) kit is needed.
Out of curiosity, when you pick it up, ask them how much it would have cost if it wasn't under warranty. Just a wild guess, but I'd say $225 for the part plus labor.

yah i was guessing a hair over 200 too... if i remember to ask i will... yah i have a sweet stealthy kenwood MP922 at home that i would put in instead of getting it fixed if it wasnt under warranty... i wouldve taken it there with the dash off, just have em unplug the radio, fix it, then plug it back in. save 100 bux and take the dash apart myself. lol... im takin it apart anyways b/c i dont want some chump throwing everything back together...
