Default camshaft? 2

i have a really quick ? about replacing my camshafts. in a past post i asked about degreeing camshafts or if i could just put them in and get some power until i find a dyno. the answer that i got is that i could put them in and get some power gain(correct me if im wrong- skunk2 tuner stage2 cams, valve springs, retainers, cam sprockets in my b16a second gen jdm without degreeing them first?)
i got to reading and i found out that i need to replace the head to even replace the camshafts/valvtrain. is this true? the engine has i think 20-30 thousand miles on it i think. so i was just wanting to know if the first ? i ask about just putting in the camshafts was right and if my second ?. just wanted to know. any help would be great. thanks in advance.

You can replace valve springs and retainers while the head is still on the block, but you need special tools to compress the valvesprings and to keep the valves from dropping into the chamber. Good luck

just going to make my question shorter i know people dont like to read long posts:
1) do i need to get a new head if i change the camshafts, valve springs, retainers, cam sprockets?
2) can i leave the camshaft with out degreeing them and gain power?
3)tuner or pro camshafts?
4)stage 1-3?

-just trying to make the question shorter

1) No you dont need to change the head you can use your same head and just replace the parts with the upgraded parts

2)With stage 2 cams on a stock compression b16 you are probably arent going to see much for gains. You need higher compression and a good tune and you will see some nice gains

3) and 4) it depends on your budget and what kind of power you are trying to make

Don't need a new head, degreeing camshafts is necessary, but recommended if you want full potential. Tuner series stage 1 if stock compression

dude. seriously man . set the cams to 0 . then when u get it tuned they will degree it correctly for max hp. this has already been answered for u in your orginal post. if u don't know what ur doing then take it to someone that does.

When you say "degree" do you mean to adjust some adjustable cam gears? If thats the case, no you dont need to pull the motor you just need to adjust the cam gears which can be adjusted while the motor is still in the car the only thing you will have to take off to change the "degree" on the cams is the valve cover.
